This is my favorite so far! The images come from a children's book, and the drawings are by Maurice Sendak. This was a pictoral story of a boy lost in the woods and who finds a bird. The boy and the bird fly over a city, and the countryside and through a night and a day. Then the bird returns the boy home and flies away. I had already drawn circles around some of the images, thinking I would make them into magnets. So I began by cutting out the images in circles, and backing them with red paper. I considered making them card confetti until I remembered the red and white bakers twine I have. Then it was simple. A garland of story, sent to say I Love You to my brother Butch, who is also the father of two sons.
